The short version: Comfort Anchor does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device only.
Comfort Anchor is a single-file application that runs entirely in your browser. We do not operate any servers, databases, or data collection systems. We have no ability to access your caregiving data because it never leaves your device.
All information you enter — care logs, medication records, caregiver information, vitals, incidents, and any other data — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on the device where you run the app.
Comfort Anchor does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics tools, or any third-party monitoring services. We do not track how you use the app, how often you use it, or what you enter into it.
Comfort Anchor does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app. No email address, name, or payment information is ever associated with your use of the app itself.
If you purchase Comfort Anchor through our website or Etsy, your payment is processed by Stripe or Etsy respectively. Their privacy policies govern that transaction. We receive notification that a purchase was made and your email address for the purpose of delivering the app file — nothing more.
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can export a backup at any time from within the app, and you can delete all data by using the Clear Data option in the app settings.
If you delete the app file or clear your browser data, your caregiving data will be permanently deleted from that device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you.
Comfort Anchor works completely offline after the first load. The app does not make any network requests during normal use. No data is ever sent over the internet.
Comfort Anchor is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because we collect no data, changes to this policy are unlikely.
